I love completing my work at local cafes. During the COVID lockdowns, it was something I really missed and looked forward to. Using Java Swing, I created Cat Cafe as a productive and fun virtual space that emulated a cafe.

Toxic Traits Webapp

I developed with two friends a responsive full-stack web app with React and Material-UI with dual-profile modes: a normal profile option and a “Toxic Traits” option.

  • Features a dynamic, interactive interface to create and delete profiles

  • Animated cards, backgrounds, and text

  • Built a RESTful Node.js/Express backend for CRUD operations with Mongoose schemas and MongoDB for data storage

I created Battleship using Java Swing. I utilized collections and arrays, JUnit testing, and File I/O to create this game. The game allows you to save and resume games as well as undo and rotate ships.

Computer Science Club

As Captain, I create and present weekly lessons on various computer science topics such as Game Design, AI, and Web Development. I also register and prepare club members to compete in the American Computer Science League.

Last year, I founded the Middle School Computer Science Club where I lead high schooler volunteers to create presentations and teach CS concepts to middle schoolers. Most recently, we started a project for club members to create a website for a local non-profit.

NHS Web Administration

I was elected as the Vice President of Web Administration of National Honor Society (NHS) at my school where I update the website with relevant information and new service opportunities for 300+ members. I also created an Apps Script for members to track their hours as well as one for the teacher advisor to get updated of new service project submissions. Outside of administration, I work with the leadership team to plan community service opportunities for NHS members and school-wide events.
